Crosby Associates Media is expanding its team after a record year for audience growth and revenue, marking a rare growth story in a media sector dominated by cutbacks.
The Warrington-based B2B publisher and events business is scaling up with four new hires as it enters its next phase of expansion, following strong commercial performance, rapid audience growth and a wave of new product launches.
The recruitment drive follows Crosby’s recent acquisition by Finelight Group, one of the UK’s fastest-growing B2B media and events groups.
The deal added more than 30 established brands and a combined monthly readership of over 450,000 to Finelight’s national portfolio.
Crosby will continue to operate under its established brand, with the backing of Finelight’s scale and ambition as it looks to build on its momentum across housing, construction, professional services and membership organisations.
Four new roles as portfolio expands
The company is currently recruiting across four vacancies as it strengthens its commercial team.
Alongside Business Development Executives who will work across Crosby’s growing portfolio of print, digital, events and video products, the business is also seeking specialists to support two of its fastest-growing brands:
- Housing Executive, the group’s flagship title, which has seen strong digital audience growth alongside an expanding events programme, including the Housing Executive Awards
- Build News, a fast-scaling brand serving the building and construction sector, with growing opportunities across events and commercial partnerships, including Build North Expo and Build News Awards
The new hires will work closely with clients across trade federations, chambers of commerce and professional bodies – including partners such as the London Chamber of Commerce, Builders Merchants Federation and National Federation of Builders – helping organisations connect with highly targeted B2B audiences.
‘We’re investing while others retreat’
Nick Fellows, Managing Director of Crosby Associates Media, said the new roles reflect a business firmly in growth mode. “The wider media landscape is undoubtedly challenging, but Crosby is in a very different position,” he said. “We’ve had a record year across audience, revenue and new launches, and the backing of Finelight Group gives us even greater confidence to invest in people and products.
“These new roles are about building for the long term – strengthening our commercial team, supporting our flagship brands, and continuing to innovate across digital, events and membership publishing.”
Linda Fellows, Sales Director at Crosby Associates Media, who will have management responsibility for the new hires, said the roles are designed to attract ambitious talent looking for stability and progression.
“We’re looking for people who want to grow with the business,” she said. “Whether that’s working across our wider portfolio or specialising in sectors like housing or construction, there’s a real opportunity to develop client relationships, shape commercial strategies and be part of something that’s genuinely moving forward.”

Audience growth powering confidence
Crosby’s recruitment push follows a standout period of audience growth across its portfolio, with the business recording its best-ever year for audiences in 2025.
Editorial consultant to Crosby, Karl Holbrook, said the results highlight the potential in specialist and community-focused publishing.
“What we’ve seen across Crosby’s brands is proof that there’s still real growth in media when you invest in quality, relevance and audience trust,” he said. “At a time when many publishers are pulling back, Crosby is building and that creates exciting opportunities for the people coming in now.”
With new events, expanding digital audiences and ambitious plans under Finelight ownership, Crosby Associates Media says it expects further roles to follow as the business continues to scale.
Crosby is also open to hearing from talented people beyond the advertised vacancies who believe they could help take the business to the next level. To apply for the roles click here or for an informal discussion, contact Linda Fellows at Linda.fellows@crosbyassociates.co.uk
