Housing Executive has achieved its biggest-ever digital audience, marking a record-breaking start to the year for the UK social and affordable housing title.
The milestone extends a period of rapid growth, with Housing Executive now up 47% over the past six months, reflecting rising demand for trusted, sector-focused insight, analysis and community-led journalism.
The audience success comes during a period of major product development for the brand, including the expansion of the Housing Executive newsletter to daily publication (Monday–Friday) – up from one day a week – creating a faster, more regular channel for sector leaders and practitioners.
Housing Executive has also formed a new industry stakeholder group, bringing together senior housing figures, consultants and suppliers to help shape the brand’s editorial direction and 2026 content agenda. Alongside this, the title is continuing to build its events platform following the launch of the inaugural Housing Executive Awards 2025, which celebrated excellence across housing and brought leaders from the sector together.
A new phase for Housing Executive
Karl Holbrook, Editorial Consultant at Housing Executive, said: “This record-breaking month is a huge moment for Housing Executive. It reflects a growing appetite for journalism and insight that feels genuinely rooted in the sector. Six months of consistent growth has been driven by a stronger focus on relevance, community and human-first storytelling.
“Extending the newsletter to five days a week, alongside deeper stakeholder involvement in shaping the agenda, is helping us build a platform that informs, connects and champions the people doing the work on the ground.”
Nick Fellows, Managing Director of Crosby Associates Media, added: “Housing Executive is our flagship brand, and this record digital performance reflects the ambition and energy behind the team. The sector is changing quickly, and Housing Executive is responding with greater editorial output, a stronger voice and an approach built around community.
“This momentum comes at an exciting time for Crosby Associates Media as we continue to invest in growth and new product development with the backing of Finelight Group.”
Housing Executive’s new stakeholder group includes experienced voices from across the industry, including Stewart Davidson, Non-Executive Director and social housing veteran; Julia Savas-Butz, Marketing Director at Plentific; Ben Virgo, Strategic Partnerships & Operations at M3; Dave Loudon, social housing technology consultant; and Colin Sales, CEO at 3C, alongside other senior stakeholders.
The group has already helped shape Housing Executive’s forward direction, strengthening its identity as a modern, practical, inside-the-sector voice, while keeping people and communities at the heart of coverage and building a more collaborative relationship with the wider industry.

Building toward an ambitious 2026
Housing Executive is now preparing for an expanded programme of editorial and events activity throughout 2026, building on the success of the Housing Executive Awards and stakeholder-led content planning.
Plans in development include a larger-scale Housing Executive Conference and Awards experience, designed to strengthen peer learning, showcase best practice, and create a flagship annual moment for the social and affordable housing community.
This strategy aligns with Housing Executive’s long-term agenda to support the sector through practical coverage of the issues shaping housing delivery – including regulation and governance, data and AI, skills and workforce pressures, repairs and maintenance, homelessness, and social value.
Housing Executive’s growth also comes as Crosby Associates Media expands its team after a record year for audience growth and revenue, marking a rare growth story in a wider media landscape often dominated by cutbacks.
The Warrington-based B2B publisher and events business is hiring across multiple roles as it scales up its commercial team and strengthens support for its fastest-growing brands – including Housing Executive – following Crosby’s acquisition by Finelight Group, one of the UK’s fastest-growing B2B media and events groups.
